I transported my childhood bedroom where I grew up for 13 years from my mother’s house to a gallery space. I reassembled my room in a cardboard box.

katthy’s room is an environment composed of real and poignant materials from my life placed in a gallery space to communicate the authenticity of a lived story. I perform in this work, I spend time in my room going about everyday activities, reading, dressing, listening to the radio, sleeping, brushing my hair etc. The viewers are invited to look inside the oversized cardboard box.
