The rag doll Valentina is made of bed sheets stuffed with confetti which seeps colours through her fabric skin as raw emotions of homesickness. Homesickness suggests a sense of homelessness.

Included here is a video diary created while Katthy was living and working in Italy in 2002. Filmed during a residency in Milan, Katthy conducts a performative studio experiment with a cardboard box structure – an enduring material and symbolic trope in her practice that started with la casa and led to brown paper and untitled home.
